Aarihant Homoeopathic Medical College & Research Institute concludes six-day CME on Homoeopathic Pharmacy

Gandhinagar, September 25, 2025: Aarihant Homoeopathic Medical College & Research Institute, which is affiliated with Swarrnim Startup & Innovation University, recently concluded a six-day Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on Homoeopathic Pharmacy. The event was sponsored by the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, and co-ordinated by Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth (RAV), New Delhi.

Held from 15-20 September 2025 at the university’s seminar hall in Gandhinagar, the programme brought together 30 delegates and 12 speakers from across India, along with eminent experts, researchers, and senior leaders from the Homoeopathic fraternity. Over the course of six days, participants engaged in an intensive academic journey that combined tradition with innovation, exploring diverse themes such as drug sources, pharmacodynamics, preservation methods, curriculum development, clinical applications, pharmacopoeias, and the emerging role of research in homoeopathy as nano and quantum medicine.

The inauguration was graced by Dr Anand Kumar Chaturvedi, President of the Medical Assessment and Rating Board for Homoeopathy, Dr Pinakin N Trivedi, former President of the Board of Ethics and Registration for Homoeopathy, and Dr Mehul Trivedi, Deputy Director of AYUSH, Government of Gujarat, in the presence of Shri Adi Rishabh Jain, Vice President of Swarrnim Startup & Innovation University, Dr. Amita V Peters Principal, Aarihant Homeopathic Medical College and Research Institute, and senior academic leadership of the institution.

“Homoeopathy pharmacy offers immense scope for innovation and enterprise. Through ‘HomoeoPreneurship’, practitioners can explore opportunities in drug discovery, standardised formulations, nutraceuticals, and digital healthcare. By integrating traditional wisdom with modern scientific approaches, we can empower homoeopaths to become not only skilled doctors but also innovators, entrepreneurs and contributors to India’s healthcare economy,” said Shri Adi Rishabh Jain, Vice President, Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University.

Across twelve sessions, eminent speakers from leading institutions including RGUHS Bengaluru, Calcutta Homoeopathic Medical College, Government Homoeopathic Medical College, Gujarat, BR Sur Homoeopathic Medical College Delhi, Schwabe India, and scientists from the Central Council of Research in Homoeopathy, guided participants through critical aspects of teaching, research, and clinical practice.

The event put together sessions on a variety of subjects including curriculum innovation and experiential learning to contemporary research on nanoscience, pharmacovigilance, and comparative potency studies, among others.

The valedictory ceremony was held on September 20. The CME was indeed a landmark initiative that not only fulfilled its academic objectives but also inspired faculty members to apply research-driven knowledge in their teaching and practice.
