In Gujarat ACB Successful Trap made by an active alert citizen and a comlainant, against accused-Ashok Becharbhai Chaudhary, Unarmed ASI (Class-3) Sector-7 Police Station of, Gandhinagar, (Class-3). ACB Trap was set up on 26th February 2025 for a Bribe Amount of Rs.2 lakhs demanded by ASI Chaudhary. In the trap it was exposed that the Bribe of Rs 2 lakhs was accepted which was recovered from the accused. Accused called complainiant near Atithi Dhaba, Service Road, Near Container Bridge, Adalaj, Gandhinagar
The accused Chaudhary is working as ASI in Sector-7 Police Station, Gandhinagar. He was Investigating case of Irregularities in the Financial Transactions made against the complainant. Accused demanded a bribe of Rs. 2lakhs for not Harassing the complainant during Investigation of the application and for not Registering a case. Complainant did not wanted to pay illegal Bribe money. He approached Jamnagar ACB and the Bribery Exposure Trap was arranged on the basis of the complainant’s plea.
Accused had a purposeful conversation with the complainant and demanded the bribe money, which he admitted and he was caught misusing his position as a civil servant and committed the crime.
ACB Officer Shri R.N.Virani, Police Inspector, Jamnagar ACB. Staff Supervision Officer Shri KH.Gohil, In-charge Assistant Director, ACB. Rajkot were behind successful execution of the trap of Rs 2 lakhs bribe by ASI.
