Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport has launched a new baggage screening system for arriving passengers, designed to match international standards. As per customs officials, presently such technology is unavailable at any other airport in India.
In the new system, all luggage, from large bags to hand-carry items, will undergo detailed screening. It can detect illegal items carried by passengers such as gold, drugs, cannabis, liquor bottles, and high-value gadgets like iPhones and Apple Watches.
