Ahmedabad based trains shifted to Maninagar, Vatva & Asarwa from 5 Jul to 12 Sep

Ahmedabad Railway Station is being redeveloped into a world-class facility. As part of this project A block will be taken from 5th July to 12th September 2025 for piling work related to the construction of a Over Bridge and Concourse at Platform No. 8 by RLDA.

During this period, Few train terminals will temporarily shift to Asarwa, Maninagar, and Vatva stations. Some trains will halt at Sabarmati instead of Ahmedabad (Kalupur) with revise timings.


These changes will ease congestion at Ahmedabad station, improve operational flexibility, enhance passenger services and support faster execution of infrastructure upgrades.


Starting July 4–5 through September 12, 2025, due to platform‑8 redevelopment at Kalupur (Ahmedabad Junction), several trains that typically use Ahmedabad will be temporarily diverted to: Maninagar – 5 express trains will originate/terminate there.
Vatva – 2 express services.
Asarva – at least 1 train shift.
Sabarmati – halts for 19 trains will move there
In total, about 25 trains are being rerouted from Ahmedabad to the four satellite stations during this 70‑day block. Vatva station will now see new originating/terminating services, such as Mumbai–Ahmedabad express trains. Maninagar will serve as a temporary terminal for several express services (Mumbai Central, Valsad, etc.). Sabarmati will gain additional halts, meaning long‑distance trains will stop there instead of at Kalupur.

Vatva 22953 Mumbai Central–Ahmedabad → 14:20 July 5
12931 Bandra–Ahmedabad → 21:20 July 5
These changes begin July 4–5 and last until September 12, 2025. Maninagar and Vatva will host entire train origins/terminations; Sabarmati will have redirected halts.
