Ahmedabad: In a major operational update aimed at improving rail efficiency and passenger convenience, Indian Railways has increased the speed of 85 trains operating under the Ahmedabad Division. Along with this, the timings of 167 trains have been revised, officials said.
The speed enhancement has been implemented after track upgrades, signalling improvements, and safety assessments across key routes. As a result, passengers will benefit from reduced travel time and better punctuality.
Railway authorities stated that the timetable changes for 167 trains were necessary to align with the revised speeds and to ensure smoother coordination across routes. Passengers are advised to check updated train schedules before planning their journeys.
This move is part of Indian Railways’ ongoing efforts to modernize infrastructure and enhance overall travel experience, especially on busy routes passing through Gujarat.
