Ahmedabad traffic authorities have announced that the Shahibaug underpass will be completely closed to vehicles from January 5 to January 12, 2026 due to ongoing construction work linked to the Ahmedabad–Mumbai Bullet Train Project. This closure will be in effect 24 hours a day for the entire period. The closure affects all three entry and exit points of the underpass, and commuters are advised to use alternative routes such as Riverfront Road, Dafnala route, or Mahapragyaji Bridge depending on their direction of travel.
Motorists should plan their journeys accordingly to avoid delays and heavy congestion near the Shahibaug area during this period.
