Today evening around 6 pm there was a sudden change in the weather of Ahmedabad city had winds in gust, coupled with dust and hailstorm. The gusty winds combined with dust halt off movement across SG Highway, Makarba, Prahladnagar, and surrounding areas. Commuters moved to safer place to prevent the effect of storm.

The Ahmedabad Fire Department has so far responded to five to seven reports of trees being uprooted across the city in one hour.
About 10 trees fell in different areas in Ahmedabad due to strong winds and the dust storm. Afected areas include Usmanpura, Ambli Railway Station in Thaltej, Rajpur, Gomtipur, Mithakhadi Navrangpura, Kankariya lake, Maninagar, Chamanpura in Asarva, Pakvan Cross Road in Bodakdev, Shahibag and Chandkheda. There were traffic jams on the road.
