According to an order issued by In-charge Police Commissioner Sharad Singhal, traffic movement on several key roads in the Kankaria area will remain restricted from 3:00 PM on October 11 to 2:00 AM on October 12 to ensure smooth movement of VIP/VVIP convoys and manage the heavy footfall expected at the venue.
Roads closed for traffic:
- The road from Raipur Crossroads to Parsi Agiyari to Kankaria Gate No. 3 will remain closed for vehicular movement.
- The road from Vanijya Bhavan Crossroads to Parsi Agiyari Tran Rasta will remain closed.
- The road from Parsi Agiyari Tran Rasta to Vanijya Bhavan Crossroads will remain closed.
- The road from Anuvrat Circle to Kankaria Gate No. 3 to Football Ground will remain closed.
- The road from Football Ground to Kankaria Gate No. 3 to Anuvrat Circle will remain closed.
Suggested alternative routes:
- From Raipur Crossroads → Kagadapith → Vanijya Bhavan (right turn) to move toward Maninagar, Khokhra, Hatkeshwar, and CTM.
- From Anuvrat Circle (left) → Vanijya Bhavan Crossroads → New Cloth Market Raipur → Destination.
- From Parsi Agiyari → Jogani Mata Temple (left) → Football Ground → Apsara Cinema (Pushpkunj) Crossroads → Tulsi Complex Three Roads → Jiraf Circle → Destination.
- From Anuvrat Circle → Anupam Bridge (west end) → Siddhivinayak Circle → Jiraf Circle → Tulsi Complex Three Roads → Destination.
- From Football Ground → Apsara Cinema (Pushpkunj) Crossroads → Tulsi Complex Three Roads → Jiraf Circle → Siddhivinayak Circle → Destination.
Additional measures:
- The one-way rule on the Lakhno Jalebi Tran Rasta to Kankaria Gate No. 3 stretch will be temporarily suspended during the event hours.
- Parking of vehicles on the restricted and diversion routes is strictly prohibited, and these routes have been declared No Parking Zones.
- Emergency services such as ambulances, fire brigade, and official vehicles related to the event will be exempted from these restrictions.
Violations of the order will attract action under Section 223 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and Section 131 of the Gujarat Police Act.
The police have urged commuters to avoid the Kankaria area during event hours and use alternative routes to prevent inconvenience
