IMTEX Forming 2026, Asia’s largest metal forming technology exhibition, will be held from January 21–25, 2026 at BIEC Bengaluru. Organised by IMTMA, the event will host 600+ exhibitors from 20 countries across 46,000 sq. m. The show will feature concurrent events such as Tooltech, Digital Manufacturing, Weldexpo, Moldex India, and Fastenex India.
Key highlights include advanced laser technologies, forming solutions, welding systems, and Industry 4.0 innovations. Industry leaders from Germany, Italy, Japan, and Taiwan will participate, attracting visitors from automotive, aerospace, defence, medical equipment, and other sectors.
IMTEX Forming 2026 Set to Bring Global Metal Forming Leaders to Bengaluru
Asia’s largest metal forming technology exhibition to host 600+ exhibitors from 20 countries across 46,000 sq. m.
The Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) has announced the upcoming IMTEX Forming 2026, Asia’s largest exhibition on metal forming and manufacturing technologies. The mega event will be held from January 21 to 25, 2026, at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru, featuring more than 600 exhibitors from 20 countries.
Spread across four exhibition halls covering 46,000 sq. metres, IMTEX Forming 2026 will also include several major concurrent shows, such as:
Tooltech – showcasing machine tool accessories, metrology solutions, CAD/CAM tools, and cutting-edge tooling systems
Digital Manufacturing – featuring solutions in additive manufacturing and Industry 4.0
Weldexpo – organised with the Indian Institute of Welding to highlight the latest welding technologies
Moldex India & Fastenex India – by Messe Stuttgart, focusing on moulding, fastener, and fixing technologies
In addition, the exhibition will host important parallel events:
International Seminar on Forming Technology (22–23 January 2026)
i2 Academia Square – connecting research institutions with industry
Jagruti – IMTMA Youth Programme – aimed at building awareness among young professionals
Global exhibitor groups from Germany, Italy, Japan, and Taiwan will showcase the newest trends in forming technologies. The event is expected to attract visitors from diverse sectors including automotive, aerospace, defence, medical equipment, power, railways, construction equipment, and consumer goods.
Highlighting the industry’s growth, Mohini Kelkar, President, IMTMA, said, “Metal forming accounts for 29% of the Indian machine tool market, and the segment is poised for measurable growth. In FY25, metal forming machine tool consumption stood at ₹9,139 crore, while exports grew by 6% year-on-year.”
Jibak Dasgupta, Director General & CEO, IMTMA, added that laser-based technologies will see significant representation this year. “Fibre laser machines, servo presses, welding systems, levellers, pick-and-place units, and 3D printing solutions will be among the key highlights. IMTEX Forming 2026 will push the manufacture and export of homegrown products.”
