Today Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, on the auspicious occasion of Ashadhi Bij worship and performed rituals of Lord Jagannath’s chariot himself at the temple premises in Ahmedabad early in the morning before commencing the 148th Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath.
The Chief Minister, in a traditional manner, cleaned the path in front of Lord Shri Jagannathji’s main chariot with a golden broom, performed the Pahind ritual, and initiated the Rath Yatra from Jagannath temple for the city procession from Jamalpur area.
