Ahmedabad witnessed a frightening incident late at night on the Shela–Rancharda Road, where a speeding luxury car went on a rampage, hitting around nine vehicles in quick succession and creating chaos in the area.
According to preliminary information, the driver of the luxury car was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and driving recklessly. The out-of-control vehicle rammed into multiple two-wheelers and cars one after another, triggering panic among motorists and local residents. Loud screams, confusion, and scenes of fear gripped the road as people rushed to safety.
Eyewitnesses said the car was moving at high speed and showed no signs of stopping even after the first collision. Several vehicles were damaged, and traffic on the busy stretch came to a standstill following the incident.
Police reached the spot soon after receiving information and began an investigation. The driver was reportedly detained, and further action is being taken after medical examination and verification of intoxication. The exact number of injured persons and the extent of damage are being assessed.
