28 January 2026 Ahmedabad: A bomb threat was reported at the Ahmedabad Rural Court on Tuesday after a threatening email was received, triggering panic among lawyers, court staff, and visitors. Following the email threat, police and security agencies were immediately alerted and swift action was taken to secure the premises.


According to police sources, the threatening email prompted authorities to evacuate parts of the court complex as a precautionary measure. The Ahmedabad Rural Police, along with bomb disposal and dog squads, rushed to the spot and launched a comprehensive search operation.

Senior police officials confirmed that all standard security protocols were followed. Court proceedings were temporarily disrupted while security teams thoroughly checked the entire premises. No explosive materials were found during the search, officials said.

Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation to trace the origin of the threatening email. Cyber crime officials have also been involved to identify the sender and track the email source.

Authorities have warned that strict legal action will be taken against those responsible for spreading fear and disrupting public order through such threats.

Security has been tightened in and around the court complex, and police have appealed to the public to remain calm and cooperate with law enforcement agencies.
