Congress Spokesman Manhar Patel has written a Letter to Gujarat Education Minister Kuber Dindor Raising Concern Over Long Pending Chaotic Transfers, Issue of Transfer Orders , Inordinate Delay in Relieving Teachers from Present School, Delay in Joining New Postig, Shortage of Teachers, Adverse Effect on Education System.
Spokesman Patel emphasized on Issuing Immediate Orders to Relieve all Teachers Transferred in Class 1 to 8 by making alternative arrangements.
During the Transfer Camps held in the years 2023–24 & 2024–25, many teachers have Benefited by getting Transfers to Locations of their Choice. However, it is very Unfortunate that many Teachers have still not been Relieved from their present Schools till today, as the Present Schools is Lacking 50 % staff.
There are Teachers who, Despite having Received Transfer Orders over 2 Years ago, are Still Serving in the Same Schools because those local schools are also Facing a Shortage of Teachers, and No Arrangements have been Made for Permanent, Visiting, or GYAN SAHAYAK Teachers there. This Situation is prevailing in both SOE (School of Excellence) and non-SOE Schools. Due to Shortage of Teachers in Schools and the Lack of Full Fleged Staff, even those Teachers who have received Transfer Orders are being Deprived Of their Right to Get New Postings. This is having the Most Adverse Impact on Students’ Education, which Reflects State Government’s Lack of Willingness and the Education Department’s Serious Administrative Negligence and Failure. This is Entirely Unjust.
On One Hand, After Years, Teachers have Finally Received Transfer Orders for Locations Closer to their Hometowns, and Accordingly, they have already Made Family Arrangements. On the Other Hand, when their Present Schools do not Relieve them from Duty, their Plans are Disrupted, which can also Affect the Education System at Large. Considering all these Factors, it is Requested that Immediate Orders be Issued to Relieve the Teachers from their Present Schools so they can Join their New Postings, and that the Shortage of Teachers in the Affected Schools be Promptly Filled.
