Richa Chadha and Gulshan Devaiah‘s Cabaret has been on the floors since June 2015 and it seems the film is finally releasing soon. The makers released the first look poster of the film today and it looks promising. The poster just showcases Richa sitting on a disco ball, but the minute details in the poster caught our attention. Cabaret, as the name suggests, is a movie based on the popular dance form. Richa had learnt the dance form for a long time before the film started shooting and we are excited to see her performance. Reports suggest that the film is inspired by yesteryear actress and cabaret queen Helen’s life, but neither Pooja nor Richa have officially confirmed it.
Richa’s character is a dancer from a small town who has a dream to be HUGE! She will also be seen smoking in the film. The trailer will be released this Friday on T-Series’ YouTube page at 1.00 pm. Cabaret also stars former Indian cricketer S. Sreeshanth and is directed by Kaustav Narayan Niyogi. The film is produced by Pooja Bhatt.
