Bharuch, Gujarat : A lady police constable serving in Bharuch district was found dead inside her allotted police quarters late last night, prompting an immediate investigation by local authorities.
According to preliminary reports from police officials, the body of the female constable was discovered in her room within the police quarters in the Hansot area of Bharuch district. She was reportedly found hanging, and local police rushed to the scene after neighbours raised the alarm.
The deceased has been identified as Dipika Parmar (25), originally from Bhavnagar, who was attached to the Hansot Police Station and had been serving in the district for several years. Parmar’s body was found inside her quarter at around 11 pm, and emergency responders later confirmed her death.
Police have registered the matter and sent the body for post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death. Authorities stated that initial reports suggest she may have taken her own life, although the exact reasons behind the incident are yet to be ascertained.
