Ahmedabad, 14 February,2026: Continuing its inspiring journey of empowering women through skill and livelihood creation, Diva Salon proudly announces the launch of its third branch at Memnagar, Ahmedabad.
Diva Salon was born from Project Sashakt, a CSR initiative by HomeFirst Finance Company, implemented with the support of Elixir Foundation as the community partner and Wings to Fly, the Foundation as the skilling partner. Launched on 12th February 2024 in Naroda, the project aimed to skill and empower community beneficiaries through vocational training programs.
Among the various trades, many women chose to train in the Beauty & Wellness sector. To create real and sustainable livelihood opportunities for them, Diva Salon was established transforming skill training into a platform for income generation and helping them gain confidence.The first Diva Salon opened its doors in Narol, where trained beneficiaries were offered three months of hands-on work opportunity. Encouraged by its success, the second branch was launched in Thakkarbapa Nagar, creating more opportunities for women to enter the workforce.
Sharing his thoughts at the launch, Karan Joshi, Star of the Gujarati film Lalo, said:
“I believe true feminism is about empowering daughters, helping them become financially independent, and giving them the strength to stand on their own feet. It’s not only a man’s job to earn. Women who are alone can run their homes, and those who wish to work but don’t know where or how to start, this academy guides them, provides job opportunities, freelancing options, and even connects them with big companies. Married women can also contribute financially to support their husbands. For me, this is the essence of real feminism.
I truly wish that academies like Diva open across India and continue growing across Gujarat, because good work never needs too much publicity.”
Now, with the launch of the third branch in Memnagar, Diva Salon continues its mission to expand opportunities for more women to gain financial independence, professional exposure, and self-confidence.
