Today in Ahmedabad, a team of AMC Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation comprising of Amul Bhatt Standing Committee Chairman, Ahmedabad Mayor Bijal Patel and former Ahmedabad Mayor Amit Shah with concerned officers visited various lakes in the city.
Only Kankaria lake has some water whereas Chandola lake has completely dried out. Water level in Sabarmati river has aslo gone down.
As a part of Pre Monsoon plan dry lakes will be re-filled with help of Gujarat Chief Minister’s scheme by AMC team.
Chairman Bhatt said for this year and as a long term planning, we are emphasizing of use of re-cycled water, instead of using Sabarmati water.
Ahmedabad Mayor said our requirement of water is very huge but we are trying to resolve the crisis.
Town planners along with AMC officials carried maps during site inspection by AMC under Pre Monsoon plan.
