Meteorological department has forecast a cold wave for next 2 days. Kutch, Saurashtra, Porbandar, Bhavnagar will be most affected, he said. The lowest temperature in Gujarat is recorded in Naliya at 3 degrees celsius. While in Ahmedabad, the temperature has reached 10 degrees celsius. Gandhinagar recorded 8 degrees Celsius, Rajkot, Keshod, Porbandar and Amreli as well as 9 degrees Celsius in many parts of Saurashtra.
Extreme cold is expected in Kutch and Saurashtra regions. Single digit temperature was observed in 8 cities of the state. In a single day, the temperature in Naliya and Porbandar dropped below 6 degrees below normal. In Ahmedabad too, the temperature is likely to remain around 9 to 10 degrees in coming days. Due to which Gujaratis have once again pulled out sweaters and blankets. The cold wave and especially the increased fog are having a significant impact on early morning life.
