From Bedridden to Beauty Queen: 58-Year-Old Anjali Gorang Kothari Wins Marvelous Mrs. India Season 3

Ahmedabad, Gujarat – January, 2026 – Anjali Gorang Kothari, a 58-year-old fitness advocate, influencer, and resilience icon from Ahmedabad, has been crowned Marvelous Mrs. India Season 3. The grand finale took place on December 16, 2025, in Udaipur, Rajasthan, where her story of grit and reinvention captivated the audience and jury.

Having been part of the Marvelous Mrs. India platform—which celebrates the strength and multifaceted journeys of married women—Anjali has continued her mission of inspiring others through mindset transformation, mentoring, and emotional empowerment (#BeautyInsideOut).

Anjali’s journey began with a deep commitment to health at 48+, leading to a personal best deadlift of 90 kg in November 2017. The triumph was short-lived: the next day, a sudden high fever left her joints frozen in excruciating pain, rendering her bedridden and undiagnosed despite medical tests. Doctors warned of permanent disability and recommended steroids and extended rest, but Anjali refused both, relying instead on mental strength to reclaim movement, one painful step at a time.

Her challenges intensified in 2021 with severe COVID-19, causing 65% lung damage and hospitalization alongside her husband. Surviving that crisis sparked a vow to live with deeper purpose. Navigating perimenopause’s emotional and physical hurdles, Anjali and her husband built a thriving social media community sharing relationship and family wisdom, growing to nearly 700,000 followers in two years.

Despite lingering ankle mobility issues and her daughter’s upcoming wedding, Anjali embraced the pageant opportunity. Guided by founder Dr. Aditi Govitrikar, she shifted her mindset to “I will walk in heels,” prioritizing evolution over perfection through discipline and focus.

On December 16, resilience met destiny: Anjali was crowned Marvelous Mrs. India Season 3 and also won the “Body Beautiful” title. Her victory highlights the pageant’s ethos of celebrating lived, earned beauty.

Dr. Aditi Govitrikar, India’s first Mrs. World and pageant founder, celebrated the diverse winners: “If you look at our winners, you will understand our belief. Anjali Gorang Kothari is a stunning and fit 58-year-old woman. This is what real beauty looks like—lived, earned, and owned.”

Anjali’s story serves as a powerful reminder: “With clarity of vision, courage, and consistency, even the dreams you once never dared to imagine can become reality.”
