A high-level meeting was held involving the Prime Minister and Chief Ministers of all states to review the availability and smooth distribution of petrol and diesel across the country. The discussion focused on ensuring uninterrupted fuel supply and addressing any potential challenges.
Earlier today, the Chief Minister conducted a separate early morning meeting with senior officials. Prominent leaders including Rishikesh Patel and Ramanbhai were present. The primary agenda was to ensure that citizens do not face any difficulties related to petrol and diesel availability.
The government has urged citizens to rely only on official sources for information and avoid falling prey to rumors. Authorities emphasized that there is no shortage of fuel and all necessary steps are being taken to maintain adequate supply. Citizens have also been encouraged to appreciate the efforts of the central government in managing the situation effectively.
In some countries, work-from-home measures have been introduced for a day as a precautionary step, but officials clarified that no such restrictions are being planned locally.
The state is also prioritizing PNG (Piped Natural Gas) expansion. Gujarat has now achieved approximately 23% PNG connectivity, making it one of the leading states in this sector. Around 12% of CNG stations are fully operational, and additional teams have been deployed to accelerate new PNG connections.
The government has taken a strict stance against black marketing and the spread of misinformation. Officials confirmed that complaints will be registered against individuals involved in hoarding or spreading false rumors.
In coordination with the industry department, discussions were also held to ensure timely payment of salaries to employees. Additionally, around 10,000 LPG-related complaints have already been resolved, reflecting the administration’s active response mechanism.
The state government continues to monitor all arrangements closely to ensure public convenience and stability. Citizens have been strongly advised to boycott and report those spreading false messages, particularly rumors related to lockdowns.
In a notable development, Kiritbhai, despite being a Congress MLA, attended a development program in Patan, signaling a collaborative approach toward regional progress.
