Grand Celebration of the 36th Mass Wedding “Kanyadan-3” by Shri Saurashtra Sai Suthar Community Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: Inspired by the Shri Saurashtra Sai Suthar Gnati Hitetchu Mandal, Ahmedabad, and organized by the Shri Saurashtra Sai Suthar Gnati Yuvak Mandal, the 36th Mass Wedding Ceremony “Kanyadan-3” was held on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Uday Green Party Plot in the New Naroda area of Ahmedabad. On this auspicious occasion, 7 couples from the community entered into wedlock through traditional Vedic rituals to embark on their new life together.

The grand event was successfully executed under the leadership and guidance of community leaders Shri Himmatbhai Hingu, Shri Chandubhai Gohil, Shri Hitubhai Solanki, Shri Kantibhai Jethwa, Shri Nathabhai Vaghela, and other office bearers. The sacred occasion was graced by several revered saints and prominent personalities who blessed the newlyweds. Notable spiritual leaders in attendance included Shri Navalgiri J. Gosai (Chotila), Bhagwat Acharya Pujya Jogidada Vyas, Mahant Shri Nishantpuri Bapu (Rajpara-Bhavnagar), and Dharm Sansad Shri 1008 Akshaypuri Bapu (Dadva). Furthermore, the event was honored by the presence of high-ranking officials including Gujarat Government Cabinet Minister Shri Kunvarjibhai Bavaliya, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Mayankbhai Nayak, and Lok Sabha MP Shri Hasmukhbhai Patel.

According to the ceremony schedule, a reception was held at 5:00 PM followed by the Hastmelap (joining of hands) at 6:30 PM. The wedding rituals were performed by Shastri Muni Maharaj. The event also featured cultural highlights and entertainment by renowned Surat-based influencer and social worker Paru N Guru, folk litterateur Shri Ramnikbhai Dhandhliya, and stand-up comedian Shri Hakabha Gadhvi, which served as the center of attraction for the guests.

In a generous gesture towards the brides’ new households, gifts including flour mills, washing machines, and LED TVs were provided as part of the trousseau (Kariyavar). Additionally, the organizers ensured that the benefits of the state government’s ‘Kunwarbai Nu Mameru’ scheme were provided to the families free of cost. In a significant move to encourage and celebrate the birth of girl children, the community announced that a cheque of ₹11,000 would be awarded to any of these couples upon the birth of their first daughter.
