Gujarat ATS Arrested Lady Linked To Al Qaeda of Bengaluru

Al Qaeda-Linked Lady Arrested by ATS Gujarat. The ATS has arrested a 30-year-old lady Sama Parveen, from Bengaluru for alleged links with Al Qaeda. Parveen is suspected to be the ‘mastermind of the Al-Qaeda terror module’ in India, following the recent arrest of 4 other terrorists linked to Al-Qaeda in Indian Subcontinent (AQIS).

According to investigating agency they received intelligence on June 10 about Instagram accounts spreading anti-national and provocative messages. These accounts allegedly promoted AQIS ideology, provoking Muslim youth and encouraging violence. Four operators — Fardeen Sheikh, Saifullah Qureshi, Mohammad Faiq, and Zeeshan Ali — were arrested on July 21 and 22. AQIS material and a sword were recovered from Fardeen Sheikh, along with a video where he says, “Bas yehi kami thi, ab sab pura ho gaya… Allahu Akbar!”


Provocative content supporting Sharia law and violent propaganda were found on all devices. Mohammad Faiq was in contact with Pakistan-based Instagram accounts.
A case has been registered under UAPA and BNS, and the accused are under interrogation. The ATS is also investigating 62 other social media accounts for terror links.
