On July 17, 2025, the email ID of a state government official in Gandhinagar received an anonymous message threatening to bomb the Gujarat Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the state secretariat, and various collector offices across the state Police—including the Gandhinagar Special Operations Group, Dog Squad, and Bomb Detection & Disposal Squad—immediately launched a full-scale search of the premises. No explosives were found, and the threat was confirmed as a hoax.
