Bhupendra Patel chaired a special event in Gandhinagar to mark International Women’s Day, where the Women and Child Development Department organized the “Nari Gaurav Samvad and Mata Yashoda Award Distribution” programme at the Chief Minister’s residence. The event was attended by Women and Child Development Minister Manisha Vakil along with several distinguished women from diverse fields.

During the programme, the Chief Minister interacted directly with accomplished women including Padma Shri awardees, women recognized by NITI Aayog, and those making notable contributions in social work, sports, arts, education, and traditional handicrafts. The interaction highlighted the Gujarat government’s commitment to women’s empowerment and development.

Many of the participating women appreciated the state government’s initiatives and policies aimed at improving the welfare, opportunities, and recognition of women across Gujarat. The event served as a platform to celebrate achievements of women and encourage greater participation of women in various sectors of society.
