Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the newly redeveloped Bal Vatika at Kankaria Lakefront in Ahmedabad on July 25, 2025. Originally established in 1956, the children’s park has now been transformed with a ₹22‑crore redevelopment, executed under a Public‑Private Partnership (PPP). There are attractions including , a Dinosaur Park, Snow Park, Flying Theater, Wax Museum, Virtual Reality (VR) Zone, Coin House, air‑conditioned glass house, shoe house, landscaped gardens, selfie zone, and Gwale Station.
Entry to most attractions is free, with rides charged separately. The Snow Park entry (with a jacket) is priced at ₹450. General admission is ₹50 for all ages. CM Patel described this park as a “new gift for the children of Ahmedabad,” blending learning with play, and promoting curiosity and creativity among young visitors.
