Under chairmanship of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, state-level celebration of the 76th Van Mahotsav was held today at Galteshwar in Kheda district with the theme of “Zero Waste.” The program was attended by Forest and Environment Minister Mulu Bera, State Minister Mukesh Patel, and other dignitaries.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister launched website prepared by Forest and Environment Department under Gujarat State Wetland Authority to bring together knowledge, research, and conservation of the state’s wetlands on a single platform. In addition, various Taluka and Gram Panchayats that made significant contributions through best practices in environmental protection were presented with incentive cheques, and citizens who carried out special work for environmental conservation were honored with certificates of appreciation.
