Gujarat Congress spokesman Manhar Patel makes allegation on Junagadh Agricultural University Vice Chancellor Dr. VP Chovatia is running a firm to exploit state government on all fronts and keep committing one corruption after another. First, allegations of corruption done by alloting a Job to his Son, then the corruption of Awarding Work to his Daughter-In-Law’s Manpower Supply Company came to light.
Junagadh Agricultural University linked Morbi Agricultural College has been running on paper for 2 years and students study in Junagadh, just as Agriculture Polytechnic College at Sidsar has been running on paper for 6 years and those students study in Junagadh. Neither Vice Chancellor nor Registrar is interested in building college-hostel buildings in Morbi and Sidsar, they are interested in Tendering and Recruitment Process. In the Tendering Process of Manpower Supply in Junagadh Agricultural University, Applications are accepted Online as per the rules, but only the application of the Vice Chancellor’s Daughter-In-Law’s company has been accepted Offline instead of Online, this comes under perview of the Registrar of the Agricultural University, on whose instructions did they accept Offline Applications is a question. The Registrar has violated rules by misusing his position, prima faciely, both the Registrar and the Vice Chancellor have been found involved in corruption of Manpower Supply at the initial stage.
State government’s agriculture university’s Vice Chancellor and Registrar have become part and parcel and they can commit big corruption anytime, so we demand that both those office bearers be removed from their posts immediately.
Gujarat Congress spokesperson Shri Manhar Patel has demand against the state government that whatever purchases have been made by Junagadh Agricultural University during tenure of current Vice Chancellor, its Tendering Process be checked for partiality.
