Gujarat Congress Spokesperson Dr. Manish Doshi Condemns incidents of gang rape of a girl in Visnagar and a lady in Una of Gir Somnath.
Doshi added that the recent incidents of gang rape — of a minor girl in Visnagar and of a 50-years-old lady in Una — are extremely tragic and painful.These incidents show that law and order in the state has collapsed and expose the horrifying reality of women’s safety in Gujarat. This situation is a direct result of the corruption of BJP government and the failure of the Home Department under the control of Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi.
On one hand, Harsh Sanghavi claims that women can move around fearlessly even at night, while on the other hand, crimes against women continue to rise.Instead of misusing law enforcement agencies to intimidate and target the opposition, the BJP government should focus on strengthening law and order in the state and ensuring the safety of women.
Such heinous crimes are a matter of serious concern for governance and public safety in the state.
Congress party strongly condemns these incidents and demands that accountability be fixed.
