In a significant administrative move, the Revenue Department has carried out large-scale promotions and transfers across the state. The announcement includes the promotion of clerks and revenue talatis as well as the transfer of 80 Deputy Mamlatdars.
In total, around 800 employees have received promotions, marking one of the largest such exercises in recent years. The department stated that these changes aim to streamline administrative efficiency and strengthen field-level governance.
Officials noted that the transfers of Deputy Mamlatdars were based on tenure, performance, and departmental requirements, while the promotions for clerks and talatis will provide them with enhanced responsibilities and career growth opportunities.
This major reshuffle is expected to have a direct impact on revenue administration, ensuring better service delivery and quicker response times at the local level.
