Today in Gandhinagar, Chief Minister Anandiben Patel has announced sets up of special court for trial of accused in atrocity case in consultation with High court.
CM instructed agencies to file Chargesheet within 60 days. Also directed authorities concerned to take sternest action in Una incident. Anandiben handed over the case to CID Crime Branch to ensure fair and speedy enquiry.
She added that we will continue to extend all support to victims. Gujarat government is fully committed to protection and development of weaker sections of society.Our minister & parliament secretary have visited the spot. As a relief measure, compensation of Rs 1 lakh per person has been sanctioned by the government. Government is taking all necessary actions. Already 8 accused have been arrested in the case. One PI Police Inspector and 3 constables have been suspended as an immediate action.
CM was deeply pained by the incident which happened at Una. It was very unfortunate. Gujarat govt ensures full support and protection to the victims.
