Heat wave conditions may prevail over Saurashtra & Kutch for two days and West Rajasthan for three days
Heat warning issued in Porabandar district IMD India Meteorological Department has issued a heat wave warning in Porbandar district of Saurashtra on Monday and Tuesday as the weather is likely to remain very bad during this period. At the same time, lightning is likely at scattered places in Narmada, Tapi and Dang districts of Gujarat. Winds are likely to blow at a speed of 30-40 kmph in the state for the next 2 days. Light rain with thunder are expected. IMD said that light to moderate rain with thunderstorms is likely in South Gujarat’s Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, Amreli and Bhavnagar districts of Saurashtra on Tuesday.
Dry weather is likely in the remaining districts of the state. At the same time, a storm warning has been issued for Wednesday. Thunderstorms may occur in these districts. According to IMD, light rain with lightning may occur in Aravalli, Kheda, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod and Mahisagar districts of North Gujarat. Along with this, thunderstorms may also occur in these districts and the wind is likely to blow at a speed of less than 30-40 km per hour. At the same time, all the districts of South Gujarat including Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi and districts of Saurashtra including Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath and Botad are likely to receive light rain.
However, India Meteorological Department said that light rain and thundershowers on Thursday will be limited to Panchmahal, Dahod, Chhota Udepur, Narmada and Tapi, while the weather will remain dry in the remaining districts of the state. According to the forecast, maximum temperature is likely to increase by 2-3 degrees by Friday, while there will be no significant change in the minimum temperature.
