Ahmedabad, Gujarat (December 1, 2025) – The grand finals of the Gujarat Esports Open Championship 2025, one of the state’s premier esports competitions, concluded today in a LAN event at the prestigious Karnavati Club, Ahmedabad. The championship was organized by the Gujarati Esports Association and the Federation of Electronic Sports Associations of India (FEAI) in collaboration with the Government of Gujarat, marking a milestone in the state’s commitment toward the growth of esports as a mainstream sport.


The championship began on 19th October 2025 with the launch of its online registration phase, witnessing an overwhelming 2,328 registrations from across Gujarat. Participants competed across six game titles: BGMI, Chess.com, Real Cricket, EA FC 25, eFootball Mobile, and Street Fighter 6, reflecting the rising diversity and popularity of esports in the state.

Following a rigorous qualification process that included online rounds, quarterfinals, and semifinals, a total of 120 top finalists secured their place at the LAN Finals. The finalists battled across all six titles in a high-energy, professionally managed LAN setup, giving players a true arena-like competitive experience.

The final event was graced by Shri Harsh Sanghavi, Deputy Chief Minister, Government of Gujarat, as the Chief Guest; Shri Dev Patel, President, Gujarati Esports Association; Shri Gagan Narang, Vice President, Indian Olympic Association; Founding Member, FEAI; President, Telugu Esports Association, along with dignitaries including Shri Vaibhav Dange, Founding Director, FEAI; Shri Abhishek Issar, Founding Member, FEAI & Director, Indraprastha Esports Association; Shri Sandeep P. Engineer, President, GCCI; Shri Sanjay Adesaran, CBO, Adani Sportsline; and Shri Durgesh Agrawal, Board Member, Vijay Baharti Foundation.

The dignitaries felicitated all the champions across the six titles and awarded a cumulative cash prize of INR 3 Lakhs, acknowledging the skill, discipline, and competitive spirit demonstrated by Gujarat’s esports athletes.
The Championship highlighted the significance of India’s evolving esports ecosystem and reinforced Gujarat’s reputation as one of the most progressive states for emerging sports.
