The Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI), in association with The Times of India (TOI) and the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), organized an informative session titled ‘HACKED 2.0: AI Weaponization’ on 9th December, 2025 at GCCI.

The session featured two eminent speakers: Shri Dhrijesh Patel, Software Development Manager – QRadar, IBM Security, and Dr. Nilay Mistry, Head, Centre for Excellence in Digital Forensics, NFSU.

In his welcome remarks, Shri Apurva Shah, Vice President, GCCI, emphasized the increasing importance of data, systems, security, and technology in today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape. He stressed the need for robust cybersecurity practices and well-structured IT frameworks. He further noted that initiatives like HACKED 2.0 significantly empower industry stakeholders to strengthen remote connectivity, adopt segmentation-based security strategies, and enhance resilience against ransomware and other emerging threats.

Shri Bhagvanbhai, Co-Chairman, Youth Wing, and Shri Preet Shah, Co-Chairman, Youth Wing, were also present during this highly engaging session.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Dhrijesh Patel provided insights into how AI is increasingly being used for hacking and breaching systems. He elaborated on indicators that help detect cyber intrusions, methods to mitigate such risks, and how AI can be effectively leveraged to build proactive system-level roadmaps.
Dr. Nilay Mistry discussed various categories of digital data, including IoT, SCADA, and ICS environments, along with diverse database structures. He explained Digital Crime Theory and highlighted how different technologies and digital components operate on core principles. Dr. Mistry also elaborated on the interconnections between AI, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning, illustrated examples of AI-enabled cyberattacks, and discussed categories of digital security and emerging AI-driven surveillance techniques. He further highlighted the growing role of AI in biometric technologies.
The insightful talks were followed by an interactive Q&A session, enabling participants to deepen their understanding of the subject.
HACKED 2.0 provided members with a comprehensive overview of AI-driven techniques and effective methods for mitigating malware and cyber risks across industrial control systems, business environments, and even personal digital spaces.
