Gandhinagar, March 05, 2026: Swarrnim Science College which is affiliated with the Swarrnim Startup & Innovation University, recently hosted an international seminar titled ‘Green Horizons: International Seminar on Sustainable Technologies – From Molecular Science to Global Sustainability Solutions.’ Some 230 delegates including research scholars, graduate and post graduate students along with faculty members remained present at the seminar.

Participants presented their work through oral and poster sessions, fostering innovation-led research and strengthening scientific dialogue between molecular science and sustainable development.

Prof Anirban Das, Head of Department, School of Energy and Technology, at Pandit Deendayal Energy University remained present as the chief guest of the event whereas Dr Vinay Darji, Principal of Arihant School of Pharmacy was the guest of honour.

From among the distinguished panel of speakers, Prof Shahid Mehmood delivered a lecture on advances in electrocatalysis for efficient hydrogen production and energy conversion. Prof Kavirajaa Pandian presented research on nanoengineered magnetic nanoparticles for adsorption and electrochemical detection of Bisphenol A.

Delivering his address, Dr Syed Shahabuddin discussed advanced multifunctional hydrogel systems for deep and infected wound management, focusing on sustained drug delivery, antioxidant mechanisms, and antibacterial strategies.

Shri Adi Rishabh Jain, vice president, Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University emphasised the importance of aligning scientific advancement with sustainable economic growth. The seminar was sponsored by Gujarat Council on Science and Technology under the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Gujarat. The programme was convened by Dr Angik Patel, coordinated by Dr Priti Mahla, and conducted under the supervision of In-Charge Principal, Mr Prem Prajapati.
