Today in Ahmedabad city Civic authorities have demolished over 20 illegally constructed factories and shops in the Rakhial area. The operation demolished illegal structures built on Gujarat Housing Board land, originally designated as open space meant for mill workers.
The demolition was carried out under heavy police security. More than 350 police staff was deployed at the site and peaceful demolition activity was carried out.
