Ahmedabad, February 26, 2026: Navgujarat College of Computer Applications, which is part of the Navgujarat Group of Colleges, recently organised a guest lecture by Mr. Kalpesh Sinha from Adani Cement. For computer science students, the lecture was a first-hand exposure into the cement industry and corporate world that brought them many practical insights. Some 104 students remained present at the lecture.
Navgujarat Group of Colleges firmly believes in facilitating industry-academia interactions that not just gives a real world exposure to the students but also give them different perspectives from industry leaders about the evolving skill sets in the modern-day professional world.
During his address, Mr. Sinha shared a compelling account of his professional journey that had modest beginnings. Today, he leads the organisation as a deputy general manager. He advised the students on sticking to their core values of perseverance, continuous learning and self-belief, citing examples from his own career, the challenges he faced and what were the turning points.
During the session, students were also taken through the technical aspects of manufacturing of Ready Mix Concrete (RMC), right from its production processes, quality control standards, advantages in contemporary construction to rising demand in the infrastructure sector. He encouraged students to keep sharpening and upgrading their skills in the modern world that keeps on evolving constantly. They also recommended a series of inspirational books that shaped their leadership outlook. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A session.
