Ahmedabad, April 08, 2026: Navgujarat College of Computer Applications, part of the Navgujarat Group of Colleges in Ahmedabad, recently organised a special reading session on the biography of noted Indian diamantaire Shri Arunbhai Mehta. The session, held on Tuesday, aimed to inspire students through Mehta’s life journey, values and achievements.
Some 65 students actively participated in the session, which witnessed the presence of the college Principal, faculty members, library staff and students.
The session opened with an overview of Mehta’s from humble beginnings in a chawl to Dhanji Street, and eventually establishing a global presence in Antwerp, Belgium, highlighting his rise as a distinguished diamond merchant.
Faculty members led the book review session and shared insights into Mehta’s life and legacy, discussing values such as hard work, honesty, dedication and perseverance that defined his journey. The discussion also emphasised how biographies serve not merely as narratives, but as powerful sources of learning, offering lessons on resilience and overcoming challenges.
Students actively contributed their learnings from Mehta’s discipline and time management Several motivational thoughts discussed during the session resonated strongly with participants, including the importance of taking timely action, staying committed to one’s goals and making the most of every opportunity.
The session concluded with a meaningful exchange of ideas, leaving participants inspired to pursue their ambitions with focus and resilience.
