One Lakh People Perform Surya Namaskar Across Gujarat; Harsh Sanghavi and Sisupal Singh Attend Virtually

Gandhinagar, Gujarat: In a massive show of collective participation and commitment to health and wellness, over one lakh people across Gujarat performed Surya Namaskar during a state-wide yoga programme held on Wednesday. The large-scale event was organised as part of ongoing initiatives to promote physical fitness, discipline, and awareness about the benefits of yoga.

The programme witnessed virtual presence of Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi and senior leader Sisupal Singh, who addressed participants through online platforms. Both leaders lauded the enthusiastic participation of citizens from different districts and highlighted the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life.

Addressing the gathering virtually, Harsh Sanghavi said that Surya Namaskar is not just a physical exercise but a powerful medium to achieve mental balance, inner strength, and overall well-being. He praised the coordinated efforts of organisers, volunteers, and institutions that enabled such a large number of people to participate simultaneously across the state.

Sisupal Singh, in his virtual address, emphasised that mass yoga programmes help build a healthier society and strengthen social unity. He encouraged citizens, especially the youth, to adopt yoga as a regular practice for a disciplined and disease-free life.

Participants from schools, colleges, government institutions, social organisations, and yoga groups joined the event at multiple locations, following a common schedule. The synchronised Surya Namaskar session created an atmosphere of energy and positivity across Gujarat.

Organisers termed the event a major success, noting that the overwhelming response reflects growing public awareness about fitness, traditional practices, and holistic health.
