Today Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi has written a letter to NASA astronaut Sunita Williams, who is slated to return to Earth on Wednesday after 9 months at ISS International Space Station after blasting off for what was initially a weeklong mission.
Modi invited Williams to India after her return, saying “it will be a pleasure for India to host one of its most illustrious daughters”.
Union Minister of Science & Technology Jitendra Singh shared the letter on social media, sharing that the PM reaffirmed “India’s deep bond with its illustrious daughter” while wishing her “strength and a safe return”.
