President of India Droupadi Murmu is in Gujarat for 2 days from October 9 to 11, 2025.
Her itinerary mixes spiritual, ecological, cultural and academic engagements. Somnath Temple & Gir National Park
On October 10, she visited the Somnath Temple, performed darshan and puja, and paid floral tributes at Sardar Patel’s statue nearby. Later, she traveled to Gir National Park and interacted with the Siddi tribal community in Sasan-Gir.
She lauded the nature-friendly lifestyle of tribal people and encouraged them to take advantage of welfare schemes.
During the Gir visit, she also enjoyed a lion safari inside the park.
Dwarkadhish Temple, Dwarka
On October 11, she offered prayers at the Dwarkadhish Temple in Dwarka.
Her office said she had darshan and prayed for the well-being and prosperity of all.
Gujarat Vidyapith Convocation, Ahmedabad
Later the same day (Oct 11), she will attend the 71st convocation of Gujarat Vidyapith as the chief guest and deliver the convocation address. Around 713 students will receive degrees, with 459 attending in person. Students will wear khadi attire in the ceremony to reflect Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals.
