Surat: In a major anti-corruption action, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has exposed a ₹10 lakh bribery operation connected to the Kim Police jurisdiction in Surat district. According to sources, the trap has brought Police Inspector Jadeja along with advocate Chirag Gondaliya under the scanner for their alleged involvement in demanding illegal gratification.
Initial reports suggest that the matter revolves around facilitating legal advantages and managing a police case in exchange for a bribe amount of ₹10 lakh. The ACB team conducted the trap after receiving a formal complaint, following which evidence was gathered and verification procedures were initiated.
The accused were reportedly negotiating financial settlement terms linked to police intervention, and the ACB surveillance team tracked movement, conversation trails and transactional links before organising the operation.
Further investigation is underway to determine the involvement of PI Jadeja, the role played by lawyer Advocate Chirag Gondaliya, and the network behind the bribe operation. Evidence including communication records, witness statements and money trail details are now being analysed.
