Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel, development works worth a total of ₹600 crore were inaugurated and launched today in Surat.

This included the inauguration of development projects worth ₹249 crore undertaken by the Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) and the Surat Urban Development Authority (SUDA), along with the foundation stone laying for projects worth ₹109.51 crore. In addition, foundation stones for various projects worth an estimated ₹242 crore to be implemented by the Urban Ring Development Corporation Ltd. (URDCL) were also laid.

The grand inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony was held in the presence of Minister for Urban Development and Finance Shri Kanubhai Desai, Agriculture Minister Shri Jitubhai Vaghani, and other distinguished dignitaries.

On this occasion, in line with the Government of India’s Digital India Mission, the Hon’ble Chief Minister also launched the WhatsApp Chatbot Online Payment Facility of the Surat Municipal Corporation. This initiative aims to provide citizens with easy, fast, and transparent access to various civic services, further strengthening digital governance and citizen-centric service delivery in Surat.
