Ahmedabad: As Gujarati cinema reaches new heights, one of the most anticipated suspense thrillers of 2026, ‘Paatki’, is all set to grace the big screen. Following the overwhelming response to its trailer, the film’s star cast—Hiten Tejwani, Shraddha Dangar, Gaurav Paswala and Director Abhinay Deshmukh, Producer Aalap Kikani & Producer Chaula Doshi shared exclusive insights about the project during a special press conference held in Ahmedabad.

The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on January 30, 2026. Written and directed by Abhinay Deshmukh, ‘Paatki’ is produced under the banner of ‘AMP Studio Productions’, in association with Avirat Pictures, Kalaansh Creatives, Pam Studio, Kanak Pictures, and Vision Movie Makers. The film features the talented Shraddha Dangar and the versatile Gaurav Paswala in lead roles. The production team includes Divyesh Doshi, Aalap Kikani, Nrupal Patel, Anand Khamar, and Raju Raisinghani. Supporting the leads is a stellar ensemble cast featuring Ujjval Dave, Karan Joshi, and Aakash Zala, alongside veterans Sucheta Trivedi and Hiten Tejwani.

The film revolves around a chilling premise: “A man is innocent until proven guilty, but what if he is truly guilty and yet proven innocent?” Manav (Gaurav Paswala) is an ambitious yet grounded corporate professional whose life seems perfect. His wife, Nitya (Shraddha Dangar), is his pillar of strength, and they share a blissful marriage. However, Manav’s dream world suddenly shatters. Amidst the chaos, he finds himself blaming himself for the unfolding events. Consumed by overwhelming guilt, Manav decides to surrender to the police.
However, the story takes a bizarre turn when every piece of evidence contradicts his confession. As he sinks into a whirlpool of self-doubt, the deeper truth begins to unravel. ‘Paatki’ explores the haunting reality that we are all innocent on one level and guilty on another.
