Narendra Ravat General Secretary Gujarat Congress former President at Vadodara Congress Committee and Amit Ravat LOP VMC Vadodara Municipal Corporation has raised concern over planned demolition in Madhunagar , Gorwa by VMC during June, ahead of monsoon season and without alloting Alternate Houses to affected localites as per guideline of PMAY to accomodate and rehabilitate affected people. Already Encroachments in Vishwamitri rivers, natural drains and water bodies which is affecting lacs of people causing loss of hundreds of crores due to flooding are not being removed blame Vadodara Congress representatives.
They Demand of not to proceed with any demolitions of any slums as per attached schedule in view of ref Cicular from UDD, Government, Directing the Municipal Commissioners to abstain from demolitions of any slums in Monsoon i.e from 1st June to 31st October.Demand for Demarkation and immediate removal of encroachments from River Vishvamitri and its tributaries & water bodies of Vadodara as per DILR District Inspector Land Records.It is really surprising to see that demolition plan of VMC in Month of June in spite of Government directions that no slums should be demolished in Monsoon as pre attached letter. Why are these demolitions planned in Monsoon, what is the reason behind making, poor slum dwellers homeless before Monsoon.
Attached please find a file of list of house which are given demolition notice for a fire station in Madhunagar Gorwa, area. Several demolitions were done in Madhunagar area to clear road line Road line, that time it was agreed upon in principal by then Vadodara Municipal Commissioner to rehabilitate localites and allot them houses as per PMAY guidelines (i.e provision of a home to each homeless family) before demolitions.
Accordingly we demand , that those residents who are given notices for demolition for fire station and few remaining in Madhunagar road line ,may be given Allotment of House before demolition, As such as per guidelines of GOG, demolitions of slums is not allowed in Monsoon, so before end of Monsoon they can be provided with Alternative Houses.

Survey for River Vishvamitri & its flood plains is done by Secon Ltd (under Pretext of the same NGT orders of removal of encroachments in river and its flood plains and tributaries are not being followed). Then now why is the removal of encroachment not being removed? What are corrupt reasons that, in spite of several representations by various activist, NGOs, Citizens, and Opposition these encroachments are conveniently being ignored? What is the reason for the same, Why is Wall of Agora mall, Encroachments on Bank of Vishvamitri & its flood plains are not being removed asks Congress and urges to remove the Wall of Agora mall, All Encroachments on Bank of Vishvamitri & its flood plains which are causing flood in Vadodara.
