Gujarat government has given 3725 Hectares of Forest Land to Private Commercial Projects

According to the information shared in the Lok Sabha, there is encroachment on 13008 Hectares (130081190 Square Meters) of forest land in Gujarat. According to the information given in the Lok Sabha, Gujarat government has given 3725 Hectares (37259500 Square Meters) of Forest Land to Private Commercial Projects.  There are 260 Posts in GPCB Gujarat Pollution Control Board. More than 60% of the Vacancies are not filled up.  

Under 100-Days Action Plan of  Central Government’s Nagar Van Yojana, 111 projects worth Rs 134 crores have been given in 7 states, Gujarat is not included in this ist of Nagar Van Yojana.

Today addressing a Press Conference at Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan, GPCC Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee Spokesperson Parthivrajsinh Kathwadia has raised a question that BJP government, celebrating Environment Day, is really concerned about the environment?

The facts presented in the Lok Sabha reveal the fact that how much serious government is  revelaed. There is encroachment on 13008 Hectares (130081190 Square Meters) of forest land in Gujarat state. When government will take action to the forests land under encroachment? why 3725 Hectares (37259500 Square Meters) of Forest Land to Private Commercial Projects?

Tribals who are entitled to the Forest, are deprived of the Forest Land and the forests are encroached, what kind of love for nature does the BJP government has?
