UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer visited Mumbai and toured Yash Raj Films studio. During the visit, he announced that three major Bollywood films from YRF will be shot in the United Kingdom starting early 2026.

These productions are expected to create over 3,000 jobs in the UK and bring “millions of pounds” into the British economy. The move marks a return of YRF-productions in the UK after an eight-year gap. It strengthens cultural and creative industry ties between India and the UK. It is also part of the trade mission and cooperation agreements being pursued between the two countries.

The announcement signals that the UK is positioning itself as a favorable destination for global film productions.
