Narmada dam of Gujarat crossed historic water level mark of 137.08 meters

Today after heavy rain in upstream and release of water from Omkareshwar dam and Indira Sagar dam of Madhya Pradesh MP, Narmada dam of Gujarat has crossed historic water level mark of 137.08 meters. Owing to heavy rain in MP, Kevadia’s Gora bridge closed for commuters.

Narmada river is flowing bank to bank due to water release from Narmada dam. 23 gates were opened upto 4.15 meters. The water is sufficient to last for 2 years.

In Dam there is 5300 mcm live stock of water. There is an water influx of 7.29 lakh cusec.

Bharuch, Narmada and Vadodara districts were alerted.
