In Ahmedabad city, Preparations for 145th Jal Yatra procession of Lord Jagannath has started today after a gap of two years due to Coronavirus pandemic. The procession had elephants, horses, drums and drums from the temple.
As per sources, Minister of State for Home Affairs Harsh Sanghvi will be present at the pooja, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, former Minister of State for Home Pradipsinh Jadeja, Madhavacharya Maharaj of Mumbai and Dakor, all councillors, MLAs, MPs, mayors and municipal corporation office bearers will be present in the procession. Devotees are showing great enthusiasm and from now on preparations for the rathyatra have been started in the temple premises. 108 pots filled with sacred water from Sabarmati riverwill be brought to the temple at Gajate near Bhudar and the first anointing will be done on Lord Jagannath.
Sacred water is offered to Lord Jagannath in Jagannath temple in Ahmedabad by Mahant Dilipdasji.
