Today in Meerut, some 91 juveniles fled from the Surajkund observation home in Nauchandi area. Subsequently two constables were suspended for dereliction of duty, police said. The incident took place in the wee hours today and 40 of the juveniles have been nabbed by different police teams, Superintendent of Police (City) Om Prakash said.
The juveniles escaped by crossing the boundary wall of the home, using ropes made of blankets and bedsheets, he said.
