Prime Minister’s Principal Secretary reviewed the DNA cross-verification process at the FSL, underscoring the importance of speed and precision in victim identification.With many bodies severely burned, the FSL’s DNA matching was critical to confirming identities and helping families find closure.
Investigators, supported by FSL officials and cranes, collected vital debris and structured samples from the crash site—especially focusing on parts impacted by the flames. Other reports highlight FSL’s ongoing handlings, such as matching dozens of charred remains in similar disasters, demonstrating their expertise in forensic identification under challenging conditions.The FSL rapidly mobilized resources and personnel, coordinating with civil authorities, DNA labs, and investigative agencies to expedite victim identification for hundreds of bodies. Their efforts were part of a broader high-level response, led by AAIB, AAI, SDRF, and governmental agencies—including visits and directives from PMO officials.
